Strange But Good Cookies… (ok, mostly just good)

December 25, 2015 By Laura

I have a visitor!!!

No, I don’t mean Aunt Ruby.

Lucie arrived late Tuesday night to stay with us for the holidays.  I’m actually writing this in advance for a change… it’s Wednesday at 3pm and jet-lagged Luce is passed out snoring.  I am so excited she’s here.  We’ve got to spend her birthday together this year, now we get Christmas and New Years!  Please someone hire her in the States so she can stay…

By the way…

Merry Christmas!

Ninja sugar cookie

In the spirit of the holiday, I’m not spending too much time online.  This is a quick summary of what I’ve been baking.  It may not be too strange (other than Meghan’s special pregnant ninja cookie), but they’re friggin’ good.

I wrapped up most of the goods and played cookie ho-ho-ho (I admit to being a cookie ho) to my neighbors.

The Cookies:

  • 3 Ingredient Coconut Macaroons
  • Chocolate-Almond Sea Salt Cookies
  • Ginger Sugar Cookies (Lucie did an excellent job decorating)
  • Fudge, one batch with walnuts and one batch with flaky sea salt on top

We’re hanging out in the desert for Christmas.  So bizarre!

What is your go-to cookie recipe?  I’m addicted to the chocolate sea salt.

Best present you received this year??

    Merry Christmas Laura!!! xoxo
Yesterday, for Christmas Eve, I made my favorite PB blossom cookies to contribute to the dessert table at my grandparents, which was full of Italian pastries 😉

Ooooh if only I was your neighbor! I copped out this year with my no-bake Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Balls. Despite how quick they are to whip up, they never fail to please. Hope you all had an amazing Christmas together- please say hi to Lucie for me :)!

I wouldn’t call that a cop out… I’d house those right about now. 🙂 Lucie says hi!!!

Merry Christmas, Laura! Nothing wrong with being a cookie ho ;). If you ever want to take your shenanigans to my neighbourhood I wouldn’t mind a chunk or two of those fudge flavours …
Say hi to Lucie from me. It’s so awesome you get to spend the holidays with each other.

We just need to start our own LLC and then we can hire Lucie and she can stay.

Surely some one will hire us to test out food, booze, exercise equipment and soon to be diapers….we’ll need lots of booze first of course.

Hiiiiiiii drooling over those cookies. Cookie ho over here as well! I’m sure your neighbors enjoyed the heck out of them – even if they were perhaps a bit confused what a ninja cookie was doing pregnant. Merry Christmas!

Haha! We kept that cookie to ourselves. Didn’t want to scare the neighbors. 🙂
