Leaving Las Vegas

October 20, 2014 By Laura

I’m home after one helluva week.

I may have left my heart in Vegas.

The softball team tied one, lost one, won one, and then lost another… that we never should have lost… but whatever. Β I’m already looking forward to next year!

Seeing as how I’m on the late flight back to ATL, this is going marvelous Monday of pictures.

bacon socks

I wore my lucky socks. Because bacon.

How could I pass up this pre-game photo op?

We cleaned up niiiiiice for the strip.

We enjoyed the kitsch of old Vegas.

We enjoyed the kitsch of old Vegas.

I went for a morning run on the Strip and found a rainbow a the Billagio!

They say everything is bigger in Texas but I think “they” got it wrong.

I’ve never seen bigger pancakes than the TRIPLE stack at The Griddle. I didn’t even finish 25%!

But I did drink allllll the drinks.

And learned that sometimes… you just have to take a timeΒ out.

But what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. πŸ˜‰

Back to the grind I go…

Have you ever been to Vegas? Β Did you like it?

Could you have finished that pancake stack?

Wow that looks like a fun trip! YEs, I’ve been to Vegas to run the marathon when it was still a morning marathon — went to bed the 1st night at 8pm so I could get up at 4 for the race. The night after the race we were going to go to ALL the parties and bars, I had one of those yard margarita in the afternoon and passed out. So, I’ve never been awake past 8pm in Vegas — I’m wild like that

Ha! I saw a 100oz margarita last night and stared in awe.

That does look like a helluva week! I honestly think I could have finished those pancakes, if it was after one of my monster 20 mile progression runs. I love seeing the waitresses face when I finsih my mountain stacks, I feel like they want to lift me up and see if I hid it anywhere. Pancakes are my thing, and I would love to go for that stack!

      October 24, 2014 at 2:35 PM

I’d have said the same thing… but holy mother of pancakes. The server said he’s never seen it done, but one 300 lb guy came close.
