January 4, 2017 By Laura

I’ve been married two whole years.

Who knew THAT would ever happen?!

One day I’ll learn to never say never.  Remember that time I said I’d never get married… yeah…

As of Monday I’ve been married for 2 years.  Now I have a tattoo to prove it.  Sorry mom.

December 28, 2016 By Laura

Santa came this weekend.

And by Santa I mean Vegas.

We decided to be adults this year and buy ourselves a new couch in lieu of expensive gifts.  Vegas, as per usual, did not follow the rules.

This is what Santa brought me:

Mastering the Art of French Scallops

December 21, 2016 By Laura

Who’s ready for the holidays?

We (mostly) are.

This time of year makes me want to cook.  A lot.  When I saw that this month’s Recipe Redux Challenge was to open a cookbook and execute whatever was on p. 216,  I knew exactly what cookbook to use.  Julia!  It’s the perfect excuse to start Mastering the Art of French Cooking.

It just so happened to be something I can’t even pronounce: Coquilles St. Jacques À La Parisienne.  The translation is scallops and mushrooms in white wine sauce.

High Protein Healthy French Onion Dip [Recipe]

December 19, 2016 By Laura

There aren’t many party dips I don’t like.

I’m that girl that hangs by the food spread all night.

This party season I wanted to create a healthier version of a classic dip.  My French Onion Dip is high in protein and low in fat, but doesn’t sacrifice taste.  It’s also quick and easy to make… what’s not to love?

High Protein Healthy French Onion Dip. Because we all know how addicting chips and dip are... why not do it up in a healthy way?
