3 Benefits of Glutathione Supplementation

January 6, 2018 By Laura

Glutathione is in every cell of your body.  It’s a powerful antioxidant that has many health benefits!  Here are 3 Benefits of Glutathione Supplementation.

Glutathione is in every cell of your body. It’s a powerful antioxidant that has many health benefits. Supplementing the body’s production has 3 key benefits.

This post was sponsored by Nanoceutical Solutions.  All opinions are my own.

You may not be familiar with glutathione, but you’ll want to be after this post.  I had no clue how essential it is to the body until I started researching it.  The body can only produce a limited amount of glutathione.  The worst part is, that limited amount decreases 1% a year, every year after the age of 20.  Hence, the need to supplement the body’s production.

Today I want to share with you some of the benefits of glutathione, and the importance of using a quality supplement.

3 Benefits of Glutathione Supplementation

1. Immunity

The first things we think of as antioxidant supplements are vitamins C and E.  However, we should be reaching for glutathione.  Because it exists within the cell, it’s an even more powerful antioxidant.  When we get sick, our bodies are battling disease and our glutathione stores used up in the process.  This makes it even more important to supplement natural levels when we are ill.  Glutathione is so effective in helping to fight disease that it’s even been suggested for cancer and AIDS/HIV patients.

2. Anti-Aging

Unfortunately, aging happens.  At 34, I’ve really started noticing the wrinkles around my eyes and mouth.  There’s no magic cure, but glutathione can help slow the process.  One of the main causes of aging is free radicals and oxidative damage.  They damage our cells, which, as you might imagine, shows in your skin.  Glutathione works to eliminate free radicals and prevent their formation, therefore helping to slow down the clock.

3. Heavy Metal Removal

This one hits close to home for me, as my mom just found out she has a sensitivity to metals.  It affects the way she feels, often leaving her foggy and tired.  All of us absorb heavy metals daily.  It’s in our water, our food, and even our deodorants!  Our bodies can’t chelate all of these heavy metals, so they actually accumulate in us year after year.  What’s bad about that?  Heavy metals damage cells, and are linked to cognitive and neurological degeneration throughout the aging process.  Glutathione helps the body rid itself of heavy metals, alleviating the damage they cause.

How to Choose a Glutathione Supplement

I’m sure we all know that we can waste a LOT of money if we select a supplement that isn’t easily absorbed into the body.  That’s why I was especially excited to get this particular supplement from Nanoceutical Solutions.  I’d taken glutathione in pill form years ago but never found it to be beneficial.  Now I know why!  Get ready to geek out…

I’m sure we all know that we can waste a LOT of money if we select a supplement that isn’t easily absorbed into the body. That’s why I was especially excited to get this particular supplement from Nanoceutical Solutions. I’d taken glutathione in pill form years ago, but never found it to be beneficial. Now I know why!

Nanoceutical Solutions manufactures supplements with bioavailability in mind.  The bioavailability is the amount of a supplement that actually enters the circulation and is able to have an actual effect.  Nanoceutical Solutions has an “exacting manufacturing process that reduces the particle size of each molecule to 1/20,000th of its original size.  This allows their products to bypass the gastrointestinal tract, instead directly entering the bloodstream through the mucous membranes of the mouth, where it can be used immediately by the body.”

Translation: their supplements are so concentrated that they can immediately be of use to the body.  The glutathione pills I took years ago were a total waste of money because glutathione is destroyed in the stomach when taken orally.  Mind = blown.

I’ve been writing a post about getting older and the things people don’t tell you… if you’re under 30, this is going to be an eye-opener.  LOL!

Have you ever tried a glutathione supplement?

Do you take B-12?  I love its natural boost!

I had honestly never heard of this before reading your post, and now I’m convinced I need it in my life! It’s crazy how many supplements are sold that can’t even be absorbed by your body, so it’s huge that these are effective that way. And we already take a B12 but I’d love to get a liquid one that’s more effective. Thanks for the kill recommendations!

That liquid B-12 makes a HUGE difference! I’ve been using it in that form for years.
